Last updated July 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Preply collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when schools, teachers, students, observers, and administrators use the platform.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect account details such as name, email address, username, phone number, organization name, login provider identifiers, assessment activity, classes, subscription records, and communication preferences.

When organizations use the platform for students, teachers, and observers, account data may be created or managed by the organization on behalf of those users.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to provide login access, manage organizations and classrooms, deliver assessments, show student progress, process subscription payments, send important platform messages, and improve product quality and security.

3. Social Login Data

If a user signs in through Google, Facebook, or Microsoft, we may receive basic profile details such as name, email address, and provider account identifier. We use that information only to authenticate the user, link the provider account to the platform account, and support secure access.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, email, cloud storage, and payment providers, only as needed to deliver the service.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain school records where required by the organization using the service.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be fully secure, but we work to reduce risk.

7. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your role and location, you may be able to request access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of your account data. Some records may need to be retained where an organization, legal obligation, or legitimate educational purpose requires it.

8. Children and School Use

Where the platform is used by schools or educators on behalf of students, the organization is responsible for ensuring that it has the authority to provide student information for educational use.

9. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact the organization administrator using the platform or the service operator through the support contact details provided by your deployment.
